Pet Loss & Grief Support for the Ones Who Love Deeply

Losing a beloved pet can feel earth-shattering. For many of us, they were never “just a dog,” “just a cat,” or “just a pet.” They were family, our companion, the love of our lives, our comfort, our routine, our safety, and unconditional love wrapped into one beautiful creature.

I overstand how painful it can be to hear things like “it was just a dog” from people you hoped would understand the depth of your grief. The loss of an animal companion is unique because sometimes the very being who helped soothe your pain was the one you lost. That kind of heartbreak can feel isolating, confusing, and incredibly heavy.

My approach to pet loss and grief support is gentle, down-to-earth, and rooted in genuine understanding. You do not need to minimize your grief here. Whether you are coping with anticipatory grief, a recent loss, complicated feelings surrounding euthanasia, guilt, anger, or simply trying to figure out who you are without your companion beside you, you deserve support from someone who truly recognizes that this loss matters.

This is a space where your love for your animal is honored fully, without judgment, timelines, or pressure to “move on.”

What Is Pet Loss & Grief Support?

This is a supportive space where you can openly talk about your grief without feeling rushed, judged, or dismissed.

Together, we may talk through:
• anticipatory grief before a loss
• guilt surrounding euthanasia or medical decisions
• anger, loneliness, or emotional numbness
• changes in routine and identity after loss
• memorial ideas and honoring your pet’s life
• navigating relationships with people who may not understand your grief

Sometimes people simply need someone who recognizes that losing a beloved animal companion can be just as painful as losing any member of the family.
